Lancaster, PA, Portrait Session | Aubrie Barker

I learned how necessary it is to create without expectations - to rely on the city and light to guide my way through this portrait session. Aubrie has the special role as my sister. Usually I have to ask her to take pictures with me (more like convince, bribe, etc.) because I want to try something. This time, she asked me to take pictures and my jaw may have dropped - I was so honored.

Creative liberty was before me, so I had ideas in my mind of the colors, feelings and poses in my mind. My heart bursts with energy to see these ideas come to life.

The main words that come to mind when I scroll through this post are contemplative and hopeful. Aubrie is adventurously trying new avenues in her major and exploring where she can best serve others with her gifts. Amidst all of the “new”, her smile is ever-present and I hear her peers saying the same thing.
